We left Wyoming for home on Tuesday, August 29. We expected to take 4 days to drive home (we ended up taking 3), but first, I wanted to see the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, and Kathie wanted to vist a sheep farm near it. She didn't take any photos of the sheep, but I took quite a few of the fossils. Most are not annotated, but I do make a few comments.

There are some extraordinary red sedimentary rock outrcrop to be found in central and eastern Wyoming. I pulled over for a shot of them.

A large number of large trilobites were apparently caught in an ordivician mudslide.

An extraordinary fossil. A fish tried to eat a Rhamphorhynchus. Both perished in the encounter. The huge dragonfly to the right was not even labeled. The museum is running out of room, and I suspect that this fascinating fossil just got stuck there because there was nowhere else to put it. They didn't bother with an explanation.
